These screws are Hexagon headed and are fully threaded (unlike Hex Bolts which are only part threaded) thus they afford the user a higher degree of adjustment and a little more flexibility in assembly.
Fine threads are sometimes used to where a more precise adjustment may be required.
Hex Setscrews can be used in pre-tapped holes or may also be used with corresponding nuts and washers.
They can be tightened either using an open ended spanner, ring spanner or the correct size of Hex Socket type spanner.
Available in Metric threads and some Imperial sizes are also available.
The smaller diameter end of the range may be used in the lighter types of industry. Larger diameters would be used in general and heavy engineering projects.
